49,000 women from 15 to 49 years were tested in a research conducted by the Statens Serum Copenhagen Institute, which showed that women who regularly eat oily fish such as herring, sardine, salmon, trout, are less prone to heart diseases than their female colleagues who do not consume fish.
Women who do not eat fish at all or eat it seldom have 90 percent more cardiovascular problems than those who eat it at least once in 7 days.
The research showed that if you include fish in your diet the risk from heart attack and stroke decreases by 90 percent.
Even though fish, i.e. omega 3 fatty acids have a very beneficial effect on the health of men, fish oil is excellent for women in their fertile years since it strengthens the blood vessels and heart functioning, thus regulating the blood pressure.
A nutrition which includes fish is excellent for the blood vessels and heart’ health, but also great for the overall health of women, said Dr. Martin Strom, the head of the research for Daily Mail.
