There is no magical wand which can reduce high blood pressure. But people who suffer from this condition may try to control it by choosing the right food and exercising. Below you can find 3 amazing recipes which can help in lowering high blood pressure.

Almond and Barley Salad

  • One cup of pearl barley
  • One can of kidney beans
  • ½ cup of roasted almonds
  • One tablespoon of diced scallions
  • Two cups of vegetable broth
  • ¾ cup of diced zucchini
  • One large red bell pepper, diced
  • One tablespoon of balsamic vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Two tablespoons of olive oil

Boil the vegetable broth and then add the salt and barley. Wait until it simmers at low heat for 10 minutes. But you must cover the pot.

In a salad bowl add the zucchini, kidney beans, scallions, pepper, and almonds.

When the barley is cooked, put it into a colander and rinse using cold water.

Mix the ingredients together and add the salt, olive oil, and vinegar.

This salad is rich in healthy ingredients that can help lower your blood pressure, especially if you consume this every week.

Turkey Meatloaf

  • One pound of lean turkey, ground
  • One whole egg
  • ½ cup of regular oats
  • One tablespoon of onion
  • ¼ cup of ketchup

You must mix all the ingredients together before you continue with the preparation.

Bake the mixed ingredients in a loaf pan for 25 minutes at 350 degrees F.

After baking, cut the meat and serve.

This very easy recipe is suitable for everyone especially for those with high blood pressure. Make sure you use ketchup that has low sodium content.

Grilled Artichokes

  • Two lemons
  • One tablespoon of olive oil
  • Four artichokes, large
  • Ground pepper

Fill a Dutch oven with water and juice from one of the lemons.

Remove some of the leaves of the artichoke and cut the endings.

Peel the fibrous layer using a vegetable peeler.

Put each artichoke in the lemon water, to keep it from turning brown.

After preparing the artichokes, boil the lemon water

When cooled, place them on a cutting board and wait until it cools for about 10 minutes.

Preheat the grill to medium and meanwhile slice the artichokes.

Put a dash of salt and pepper and brush with oil when you have scooped out the choke.

Grill the artichokes, for five minutes every side.

Serve with the other lemon.

These recipes are rich in nutrients which are proven to help against high blood pressure. So try them, they are also very tasty!
