Consequently, when your liver can’t process toxins and fats quickly, your risk of obesity and cardiovascular disease increases.

Be wary in case of chronic fatigue, headaches, digestive problems, or allergies, as all of these may indicate that your liver is overworked.

Simply add turmeric to your meals, or just mix 1/4 tsp into warm water and drink.

This citrus fruit is rich in vitamin C, pectin and antioxidants like glutathione, which makes it extremely beneficial for liver detox. The best time to have grapefruit is in the morning. Kick start your day with a glass of grapefruit juice, or simply eat the whole fruit.

A natural blood cleanser, this vegetable stimulates and improves overall liver function. You can add fresh beetroots in your salad or soup, or simply enjoy some fresh beetroot juice. Make sure you use fresh beetroot.

This fruit is just another food highly beneficial for reducing bad and promoting good cholesterol. Avocados are abundant in glutathione, which makes them a powerful liver-cleansing food.

Eating 1 to 2 avocados per week for a couple of months can in fact help reverse liver damage. Plus, avocados stimulate the breakdown of fat.

  1. Broccoli

Abundant in glucosinolates, which promote the removal of carcinogens and other harmful toxins out of the body, broccoli are extremely beneficial not only for your liver, but for your overall health as well. In addition, they are packed with vitamin E, which is an important antioxidant.

Eating 1 cup of broccoli 3 times a week is highly recommended in order to keep your liver healthy.
