February 8, 2019 by Valerie Kirwin

Smoothie is one of the most popular drinks nowadays because of its nutrient composition. If you want to prepare even healthier smoothie start using these ingredients.

1. Olive oil

Although olive oil is an integral part of each salad, it is also an excellent ingredient that can be used in smoothie. It is rich in unsaturated fats that are healthy for our heart and it leads to better absorption of smoothie’s nutrients into our body. Aside from being nutritious, a teaspoon of olive oil makes your smoothie more creamy, and with it more delicious.

2. Seed

Regardless of what kind of seed you decide to use, this ingredient is healthy because it is rich in magnesium, which helps our immune system to stay healthy. Chia seeds, for example, contribute to blood pressure regulation, linseed helps in creating fibers, and if you want to consume more proteins, then select hemp seeds. As we said, no matter what seed you choose you won’t make a mistake.

3. Ice coffee

Ice coffee can be beneficial as well, in a way you can speed up your metabolism, but also improves your memory. A new study shows that this drink can improve your physical activity, and do not avoid it if you want to drink smoothie in the morning. Ice coffee tastes great with banana and almonds.

4. Almond Butter

Highly delicious almond butter can give a new beneficial property to your smoothie because one teaspoon is sufficient to enrich it with magnesium, proteins, iron and vitamin E. Several studies have shown that this ingredient helps in the fight against cancer and heart disease.

5. Coconut

If you want your smoothie to be healthy, then add fresh coconut because it is rich in vitamin B and will keep you energized throughout the whole day. Excellent idea is to consume it in the morning because it contains a lot of potassium and magnesium, and in addition has a low sugar level.
