Feet are also very important and their change can indicate some health problems. That is why it is important to regularly observe them in order to prevent any temporary health problems. Read about the following 10 things  connected with our health.

  1. Hair loss on toes

Although most women have little hairs on the toes, their loss may indicate problems with circulation. The sudden hair loss is a sign that your feet do not get enough blood flow to sustain hair growth. There is a possibility that the heart does not pump enough blood to your feet, so that is why it is good to visit the doctor and run some tests.

  1. Foot cramps

Foot cramps can be a sign that you have problems with nervous system, but more often can be an indicator of dehydration or malnutrition. Every day, especially if you exercise, drink plenty of fluids in order to keep your body hydrated. Also you can consume food rich in potassium, magnesium and calcium.

  1. Wounds which do not heal

Wounds that do not heal and can appear on the feet are pretty clear sign of diabetes. High blood sugar level which is not under a control for a longer period of time may cause nerve damage that results in wounds without physical pain. On the other hand, the wound which does not heal can be a sign of skin cancer. Melanoma can occur anywhere on the body, even between the toes, so that is why you should systematically examine the skin.

  1. Always cold feet

The most common cause of cold feet is hypothyroidism. If you have more than 40 years, you may have a lazy thyroid. The disease can cause hair loss, dizziness, sudden weight gain, and depression. Run a simple blood test  to determine if you need a treatment.

  1. Enlarged thumb

If you notice a sudden thumb enlargement which has red color and is irritated and swollen you should immediately seek medical help. Most often it is caused by gout, infection, arthritis or a physical injury.

  1. Numb toes or parts of the foot

Numbed feet can often be a sign of diabetes, chronic alcoholism or side effect of chemotherapy. But if you feel numbness in only one foot, then the chances are that you have a clenched nerve in the foot, ankle or back which occurs due to wearing inappropriate shoes.

      7. Bony outgrowths

Bony outgrowths on the wrists beside the thumbs are not always a result of wearing high heels. On the contrary, they are a genetic deformity of the foot which can worsen by wearing inappropriate footwear. The only way to remove these nasty growths is by surgery.

  1. Pain in heels

The most common cause of severe pain in the heel is plantar fasciitis or jogger’s heel. It usually occurs in those moments when you get up from bed or chair. If you wear too narrow or inappropriate shoes the situation may become worse, while with doing easy exercises to stretch the muscles you can get better.

  1. Flaky and itchy feet

If your feet are itchy, and their skin peels, you probably have fungal infection that can be cured with appropriate cream and proper hygiene. The reason for this unpleasant itching can be a skin disease known as psoriasis, which should be diagnosed by a doctor.

  1. Yellow Nails

Nail discoloration is sometimes a sign of aging, but if it appears with peeling nails that are easily breakable then you may have fungal infection that is easily treated with a cream. Yellowness can also occur in women who polish their nails all the time.
