A week after the expiration date, which is printed on the milk carton, it can remain drinkable and healthy. It is easy to notice if the milk’s taste, smell or appearance is not right.
Shelf life of some foods, which by law must be clearly written on the product, is not a real indicator of the quality of food, claim some British experts. Most food is perfectly good to use after the expiration date on the label. They point out that the date is linked with the freshness of the ingredients, which after the expiry date are not harmful.
