Equisetum often can be found in meadows, especially in wetlands or in sandy soil, as well as along the railroad tracks.

Tea made from horsetail is an indispensable beverage for people who have had a bone fracture, have sprained a ligament or simply have weak bones. In addition, it stimulates the growth of hair, nails, skin and muscle tissue.

If you come across a horsetail in the nature, in order to take advantage of its curative properties, collect the entire plant.

Horsetail is considered to be one of the best remedies for treating lung disease, even the severe cases. It’s beneficial in anemic people because it stimulates the production of red blood cells. Tea made from horsetail is used for strengthening the immune system. It is essential in the treatment of stomach ulcers, hemorrhoids and in the treatment of bladder and kidneys diseases, skin diseases, cellulite reduction.

Preparing the tea

Dry and chop finely the horsetail and soak it for four hours. Cook for 10 to 15 minutes and cover for an hour before you drain it. Drink two to three cups of tea a day. After two to three weeks of regular drinking this tea, make a break or consult your doctor.

Preparing the juice

Squeeze the grinded horsetail and you’ll get a juice. Consume one to two tablespoons of pure juice or diluted in a glass of water three times a day.
