Six Natural Remedies Against Mosquito Bites

Your kitchen can also serve as a pharmacy if a mosquito bites you and the skin becomes too itchy and swelling appears.

These foods can help to alleviate the symptoms.

Lemon

This citrus has natural anti-inflammatory and anesthetic properties and is very efficient in reducing the swelling after mosquito bites. Simply divide the lemon and rub the affected area with the one half. You can mix the lemon juice with basil and this mixture reduces discomfort after mosquito bites as well.Six Natural Remedies Against Mosquito Bites

Garlic and onions

Onions and garlic can reduce the swelling and alleviate the itching after insect bites. Grind the garlic and onions and apply the mixture on the bite area. After a few minutes, rinse the skin.

Baking soda

Baking soda will immediately stop the itching caused by mosquito bites. Dissolve a teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of water, dip a towel in the solution, and hold the towel on the bite area for 10-20 minutes.

Aloe Vera

This is one of the best natural antiseptics. Remove the gel from plants, place it in the refrigerator for 10 to 15 minutes and then apply directly on the bite area.

As it has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, it is the perfect remedy against swelling and itching after mosquito bites. Make a paste of salt and a few drops of water and apply it on the affected area, and after a few minutes, rinse.

Ice

Low temperatures delay the transfer of substances that cause inflammations, the bite is treated with ice cube, and you will not feel the itching and pain. Put a freezer bag with ice cubes on the bite area.
