It is important that the vegetables are consumed fresh, not cooked.
Lung cancer is one of the most common types of cancer, and relates more lives than colon cancer or breast cancer. From 75 to 80 percent of lung cancer cases comes from a type of cancer called non-small cell lung cancer (NSCL). Although today’s medicine has several approaches which this serious disease cures or relieves, scientists have come up with a natural solution. A study published in the journal PubMed interprets that parsley kills lung cancer cells, but can also be used preventively. The active ingredient in parsley, participating in the killing of cancer cells is called apigenin.
Foods that contain a substance that kills cancer cells are:
• Celery
• Onions
• Oranges
• Chamomile tea
• Oregano
• Thyme
• Coriander
• Artichokes
• Red wine
However, apigenin is most concentrated in parsley and therefore most often recommended in the fight against cancer. As mentioned already, according to the Journal of the Cancer Institute, people who frequently eat apples have a 60 percent lower risk of getting lung cancer compared with those who did not eat fruits rich in flavonoids.
Other foods associated with prevention of lung cancer include brassicas such as kale, cabbage and broccoli. It is important that the vegetables consumed fresh, not cooked.
Olive oil also proved to be good for reducing the risk of almost all cancers. Daily consumption of extra virgin olive oil can be deactivating cancer cells that are trying to survive and destroy the body.
