Scientists have discovered that the not very familiar plant, with a bizarre name is really amazing cancer killer. The plant was tested on mice which had pancreatic cancer. In just 40 days the cancer was gone.
Scientists that were leading the experiment now hope to get financial support to continue the research on people.
The plant called “thunder god vine” or lei gong teng, is used in the Chinese medicine for many years to treat various diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis.
According to the latest research from the University of Minnesota’s Masonic Cancer Center, , after 40 days usage of this plant the body does not show any signs of tumor – even when you stop with the treatment. The research on this miracle grass, as they name it, is promoted in the journal Science Translational Medicine
Scientists believe that this plant is so effective because it contains a large amount of triptolide, which in previous studies has been identified as a cancer fighter.
Scientists claim that the cancer remedy is found in herbs that are known for years, but like ginger and this new discovery is free of charge unlike the expensive and dangerous drugs against cancer, and companies have no interest to invest in this kind of studies.
But while this plant is really cheap, some scientists involved in the research, are trying to make a medicine from this plant which would be approved by the FDA, but if this happens the drug will be patented and sold for a large sum of money.
