A number of studies confirm that curry is abundant in health benefits among which boosting metabolism, relieving arthritis pain and fighting heart disease.

According to recent Chinese research, adding curry to your meals at least three times a week may even prolong your life. The study, which involved approximately 500,000 people, found that the risk of premature death decreased by 14% in those who consumed curry three times a week or more.

Although curry first appeared in the 17th century, its taste has been refined over time and the yellow-orange spice we use today usually comprises a mix of spices such as turmeric, coriander, cumin, fenugreek and several chili peppers.

If you are wondering how to increase your curry intake, fresh chili stews are the thing to go for as these are full of spicy, curried antioxidant rich foods such as chili peppers. Add curry to your Jerk chicken and rice meal to spice up the flavor and get more health benefits.

Adding a teaspoon or more of curry powder or paste into your meals, you will improve your body function because you’ll be providing your body with antioxidant-rich spices. Simply include more curry-rich meals in your diet by adding curry powder or paste to the meals you usually prepare at home.
