Blushwood, which only grows in pockets of the rainforest in North Queensland, Australia, contains a chemical in its seeds, which can eliminate tumor cells at an amazing speed. The 8-year research involved 300 animals (dogs, cats, horses, Tasmanian devils) which had artificially induced neck tumors and melanomas. In most cases, a single dose of the treatment using the chemical caused the cancer cells in the tumor to shrivel in just a few hours. According to the researchers, the tumor disappeared in 75% of the cases, there were no side effects and the benefits were long-term. There were very little relapse cases within 12 months of being treated.
It was discovered that the chemical found in Blushwood berries kills tumor cells directly by cutting off the blood supply to the infected tissue and activating the immune system to eliminate the tumor residues.
The researchers noted that this treatment showed no side effects and that the first results were seen within five minutes, until the tumors disappeared completely within 15 days.
However, the plant also has its limitations. Namely, it’s extremely difficult to grow Blushwood in large quantities because it needs the very specific rainforest conditions in North Queensland to thrive. But researchers are optimistic to be able to farm the plant someday.

Hemp oil, also known as cannabis oil and hash oil, contains tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, a compound that’s known as a cannabinoid. Laboratory and animal studies have shown that cannabinoids may be able to kill cancer cells while protecting normal cells.
