Raising breast cancer awareness is in a way the duty of every woman who got over the disease. The Englishwoman Lisa Roil engaged herself in such a mission by posting a photograph of the unusual symptom of her illness on her Facebook profile.
Just a week after the post, it was shared by 55,000 people, and liked by 32,000. The picture shows a small dent under Lisa’s left breast, something which most women would ignore.
However, that little dent indicated that Lisa Roil was suffering from breast cancer, and therefore, this week she is undergoing surgery to remove the cancer. To prevent the same fate of many women and to warn them to regularly check the condition of their breasts, Lisa shared this unusual symptom on Facebook.
Lisa wrote her message to all the women in the world above the photo.
“I never believed I would be posting a photo of my breast on Facebook, but I wanted to do it before it is removed. This is all I found on my breast, a very small dent underneath it which most of us would not even notice being in a hurry to prepare themselves for work.
Please take time to check your breasts. It can save your live, “she wrote in her post.
After so many positive reactions, Lisa’s husband called her “inspiration,” while her sister set up a foundation for women suffering from cancer, to honour the courage of Lisa.
