Manage negative thoughts:

One of the most effective techniques that we can put into practice is to breathe and redirect our thoughts to what we are doing. What we should do at that moment is take a deep breath and focus all our attention on the movements we have to make. Almost without realizing it, negative thoughts will have disappeared.

If we analyze the context and the consequences they have, we can anticipate and relax before they appear. Knowing the ways our body reacts is very useful to prevent negative reactions.

Compensate one negative thought with two positive ones. It may seem absurd, but the fact of thinking about the positive things that we are achieving and that we have in our daily lives will help us regain courage and strength to continue. Also, since we must think about other things without paying attention to the negative thought, little by little the latter will disappear. And not only will we not have a negative feeling, but since we will have thought positive things, we will be happier.

We must accept that negative thoughts are part of the process. Everyone has a moment during workouts when their mood is lower than normal. It is something completely normal, but we must not let them dominate us and prevent us from moving forward. Sometimes by doing nothing, the thought leaves the same way it came. If we see that it is not enough and that negative thoughts persist, we should go to a specialist to give us the guidelines we need to get out of this blockage.

Put a name to the feeling that appears. Sometimes we feel bad, but we do not know exactly what is happening to us, this makes the situation worse, makes us feel frustrated and angry with ourselves. The ideal in these cases is to stop and try to put a name or describe what the feelings are that we are having. In this way, it will be much easier for us to act and remedy the situation. Knowing what we are up against helps us think more clearly about the best strategy to adopt.
